About Say It With Your Chest

I’ve been writing since the 1990s, but it took decades of living—two divorces, coming out, and starting over across the country—to finally say what I need to say out loud.

Say It With Your Chest is the space where that voice lives: unapologetic, rhythmic, and real.

What you’ll find each week

Tuesday – Intonation and Atonement
Bold truths, confessions, and chest-deep reflections. The words I once held back, said with rhythm and resonance.

Thursday – Thinking Thursday
Cultural analysis, sharp critique, and observations that cut through the noise. A space for thought, wit, and clarity.

Sunday – Neurodivergent Gumbo
A layered stew of identity, memory, and imagination—seasoned with humor, honesty, and the lens of a Black neurodivergent writer.

Why this space exists

This isn’t a place for whispers. It’s a place for honesty, pettiness, survival, and legacy.

If that resonates, pull up a chair and stay awhile. Subscribing means you’ll never miss a post. And if you’d like to help me keep writing with a full chest, consider joining as a paid subscriber—you’ll get access to exclusive voice-forward posts, reflections, and audio essays.

Welcome to Say It With Your Chest.
